Scary Things...
Halloween is a time for tricks and treats, but it is also a time when children and parents must be careful and think about safety first. To reduce the chances of scary mishaps, here's a few tips to have an organized, and safe, halloween:
- When deciding on a halloween costume, consider using makeup instead of a mask. Masks can impede vision or hearing and make it difficult to breathe or speak. Ensure your child can see properly in all directions.
- Costumes should not be too tight or restrictive. If they are too long or loose, they can cause your child to trip or get caught in branches or other obstacles.
- Use strips of reflective tape to make it easier to be seen.
- Stick to well-lit streets and homes where the lights are on. Trick or treat on one side of the street at a time, and avoid running back and forth across the street. This way you can go to more houses in less time too!
- Know the route that your children will take and set a time to return home or designate an adult to accompany them.
- Trick or Treat bags should be sturdy and easy to carry. There's nothing worse than to have a handle or bag break while you are out, dropping candy or even losing it!!
- Once your children arrive home make sure to check their treats before they can be eaten.
Have a fun and safe Halloween!!

I Was Looking For That!
The most common thing I hear my clients say when organizing is "Hey, I was looking for that!". According to Newsweek, the average worker spends 55 minutes per day, roughly 12 weeks per year, looking for things they know they have but cannot find!
If you look at the photos of offices that I have organized in the past, you will see how easy it can be to lose things amongst the paper clutter, but did you know that the damage caused to your time by any given interruption is twice as long as the interruption itself? Think about it. You could be wasting almost 3 hours per day!
Instead of wasting those hours why not take the time to let Organizing Help show you how to find exactly what you need, when you need it. Give us a call today for your FREE organizing consultation and look forward to saving your time and energy on a daily basis!

"How do you get people to help you? You can’t get there alone. People have to help you and I do believe in karma. I believe in paybacks. You get people to help you by telling the truth. Being earnest. I’ll take an earnest person over a hip person any day, because hip is short term. Earnest is long term." ~ Randy Pausch |
